Well, of course, I have been pretty bad about updating our blog! With Christmas and everything else going on this time of year, it has been hard for me to find time to write! Speaking of, I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!!!
All that said, I am now almost 35 weeks, leaving us only 5 weeks until Chapman's arrival. We are getting so excited and of course a little anxious too! I went to the doctor last Tuesday (Dec. 23rd) and Dr. Garrard said that everything was measuring right on Chapman's due date. He said, "You seem like you know exactly what you are doing!" I assured him that I have NO CLUE what I am doing, but I am so blessed to have Chapman growing and developing right on schedule! I have started to feel a little more pregnant (which I cannot complain about at all, since I have had such an easy pregnancy) and lots of sleep has again become a MUST! Chapman is also moving around a lot more and I am having some Braxton Hicks contractions. I have been having the contractions for about two weeks, but they are definitely happening more often the longer I progress. Usually, I will have one or two a day now. Dr. Garrard said as long as they are not within 10 minutes of each other, I am perfectly fine!
My plan is to work up until the day Chapman arrives. January is going to be very interesting with tax season beginning and hours of work needing to be added to a normal day, but I think I can do it! My wonderful firm will allow me to work at home as needed, so my schedule might be a little crazy (coming home early to take a nap and then get back to work, etc.), but it will be worth getting everything I can done before I take off for maternity leave!
My next doctor's appointment is on Monday, January 5th. From then on, I will go to the doctor every week!
Jason and I can't wait to meet Chapman and we appreciate all of your thoughts and prayers. We have been blessed with a wonderful pregnancy and hopefully delivery will be just as good!
