WE HAVE A DATE.......

We went to the doctor yesterday and he said that although I have not dilated, my cervix has thinned out and that he expects I will start dilating soon! He said that he doesn't think that I will have Chapman this week or weekend (he said he really likes his Mama...haha!). Dr. Garrard said that if he doesn't come by February 2nd (a week from Monday), we will induce that morning. Depending on whether I have dilated at my next appointment (Tuesday, January 27th), I will either go in on Sunday night or Monday morning around 5:00 a.m. Dr. Garrard also said that he still expects Chapman to weigh around 7 pounds when he is born (PERFECT size for me)!!!!

Jason and I are both really excited and can't wait to meet little Chapman. Jason was so cute yesterday when Dr. Garrard said, "Well, let's just go ahead and make an appointment at the hospital....how does 2/2/09 for a birthday sound?" Jason's eyes got really big and I think it really started to hit him! He will be the BEST daddy!!!

Of course Bogie is getting really excited too....he has his "I'm the Big Brother" collar ready and waiting! And no, I am not kidding!

Well, please be praying for Jason, Chapman, and me and for a safe delivery and healthy child. We are so blessed to be experiencing this wonderful event and can't thank our family and friends enough for all the prayers, thoughts, and gifts. We wouldn't be able to make it through without all of you! I will try to update again next week, unless Chapman decides to arrive before then!
